OK, so many of you know that I've been toying with the idea of trading in my bike for a newer model and contrary to my other recent thread on the matter, an oppurtunity has presented itself today that I simply can't pass up. With that said I am putting out some feelers to forum members on here before I trade the bike in as I know what margins they need on the bike if they resell it and therefore what it is worth on the open market, compared to similar models they and other dealers have for sale, taking into account the age of the bike, spec at point of sale and it's mileage. The bike is well documented on here and anyone that has followed my build threads over the years, will know that I don't do things by halves and the bike has been meticulously put together to create a very individual machine. Naturally I intend to carry over as many parts as possible onto the new bike, so the bike will be returned to standard save for the following modifications to the original spec. These include: Bodywork (All OEM parts unless specified otherwise below) "AirFX design" professionally painted bodywork in the traditional SPS style theme (no decals all airbrush work), with white number boards and gold pinstriping. Bodywork is made up of a Fullsix carbon seat unit, Lieb Speed (now completely unobtainable) carbon battery cover, 2020 V4R spec mid-fairings, Akrapovic full system lower fairings, including Lieb Speed carbon in-fill panels, carbon winglets and the V4R wider double bubble windscreen. All the bodywork has had the full EXPEL PPF film applied to it in May, by AutoCurators in Hampshire. Cerakoted parts The following parts will remain on the bike and were professionally coated by Hi-Spec Coatings in Sussex: Main frame/chassis and swing arm, colour matched with OEM magnesium engine casings. Upper and lower rear shock absorber mounts in "Glacier Black" along with the clip-ons and handlebars, clutch and front brake reservoir mounts, rear caliper stay/bracket, rear suspension rocker link, rear suspension link rods, footrest hangers/side plates, sidestand, rear subframe cross-brace, under seat plate/bracket, radiator fan brackets/mounts, gear change shaft lever, engine tripod support bracket, upper radiator link pipe also all in "Glacier Black". The two oil cooler to engine casing clamp plates are also Cerakoted in silver. Additionally both the radiator and the oil cooler have been Ceramic coated black, to withstand the heat. Wheels OZ GASS RA black six-spoke billet alloy wheels Brakes Front discs: Brembo Goldline 330mm discs with Pro-Bolt stainless steel disc bolts. Final Drive Gold DID chain Exhaust In addition a full Akrapovic exhaust system (with dealer installed up map) is included. Note that in keeping with my original design, the carbon elements are finished in Gloss, (ie the main rear header heat shield and RHS silencer shield) Please note for reference no other aftermarket parts will remain on the bike other than those specified above, this includes any carbon parts, billet alloy parts, stainless steel components, electronic accessories etc. The original mirrors/indicators will be re-fitted to the bike and all the new OEM items such as the stock exhaust, that were removed for the Akrapovic fitment will be supplied in a box. Other OEM items such as the front and rear mudgaurds will be re-fitted prior to sale. Edit: Additional Items Seat Pad: Tapezzeria Italia - Custom Seat Cover (Fitted by Sargents Upholsterers). Original seat cover is also supplied if you want to revert to standard. General Information The bike has a current MOT valid for just over 11 months and dealer stamped service booklet (MotoRapido and Seastar). Receipts can be supplied for those parts remaining on the bike (where non standard, such as the Akrapovic exhaust) The bike has had any software updates performed and all recalls have been carried out, including fuel cap seal/breather modification, new style oil cooler, new revised clutch hose, cam chain tensioner bolt torque check, rear eccentric hub bolts torque revision etc. All paperwork and booklets will be supplied, including a spare key and leather document case The current mileage stands at: 274 miles (as of 14/05/24) Similar aged V4S models with considerably more mileage (with purely OEM parts) are selling for between 15-19K. The nearest example in terms of mileage I can find online is from ProTwins who currently have a 2018 V4S for sale at £18495 with the Akra system but stock bodywork and wheels and 898 miles. There is also a bone stock 2018 V4S with OEM bodywork, exhaust and wheels and 918 miles for £16995 at Woolaston Motorcycles. The average for other stock fitment 2018 V4S's is between £16795 (4287 miles) and £17299 (3164 miles) both on Autotrader. Edited Price Given the mileage, and the extra parts and modifications on it, and in view of what is available on the market with less spec, I am offering the bike on here, as described above, for £18495 which matches the price of the bike at Pro Twins but includes the extras mentioned, which their example does not and it has a higher mileage. If that still sounds a little rich, then consider finding another example with fewer miles on it, a full Akra System, Oz wheels, carbon parts, cerakoting treatment, a bespoke paint scheme and a full PPF kit fitted for less. If you are interested then please send me a PM. The bike will be available for a maximum of 14 days, after which I will withdraw the offer. No test rides unless full payment is transferred beforehand and your driving licence retained for the duration. If requested the bike can be inspected by my local main dealer to authenticate it's condition, history and roadworthiness.
I've decided to edit the price to match the one Pro Twins are selling (though theirs does not include the extras such as the Oz Wheels for example). Offer stands until the 28th May to forum members, after which it will be available through the dealer at most likely a higher price.
Hi Topolino I am interested in your bike but being new here I can’t send you a pm. I have checked out your build thread and it looks incredible. Would you be able to message me a few more details or I can put on my mobile number here for you to contact me instead if easier?
If I had the spare cash. That bike would be in my garage. GLWS what a beauty. I been following the thread.
OK so the interested party (whom I note only has one posting) hasn't replied. I've almost completed removal of all the parts I want to transfer over to the new bike, however I decided to leave the SAMCO hose kit in place, as it is such a huge undertaking to remove it and I don't have the time, having just been given the all clear from the CAA, that I can at last return to work after 15 months off, due to heart and spinal surgery. The bike specs are as per those mentioned above. Unless I hear otherwise by Tuesday, the bike will be available for sale at the local dealer within the next two weeks. I will reveal what is replacing it in due course.
Yes very relieved. Wasn't planning to hang up my headset just yet and I do still love the job, so hopefully I can carry on for a few more years.
