putting sprag clutch back on 916 ST4 I was told the torque was 186 Nm how do you hold the clutch to torque to this setting as the clutch holding device is near possible to hold managed to torque to 154 Nm
Your not supposed to hold the clutch to tighten the flywheel . You are supposed to hold the fly wheel . There is a tool for holding the flywheel I made my own for the 9 series . By holding anything other than the flywheel you will twist the crankshaft some times this is o.k. and other times it can fracture the crank causing it to snap. Heres my flywheel tool and a picture of what can go wrong if you tighten it another way.
