Track Insurance

  1. Wife asked an interesting question (I was surprised too!).
If you take out track day insurance and make a claim does it class as "a claim" for your road and car insurance therefore putting those premiums up?

  2. A claim is a claim as i understand it so i would say yes if it is a proper insurance company and not a track owner providing special private insurance:thinkingface:

  3. That's what I feared/reckon too.

  4. Yes. 100%.

The policies I have seen would be barely worth claiming on. Often £1000 excess then max 50% of bike cost

  5. Is the insurance for yourself or your bike?
My insurance through Bemoto covers me not my bike.

  6. CR,A phone call to your broker monday morning PDQ and check the tosspot insurance company small print paperwork as well:thinkingface:

  7. depends which you buy I guess.

Many racers have cover for crashes, to replace kit, pay for medical support, replace earnings etc. But them most racers are self-employed plumbers ;)
