Mrs T has issued orders so the RSV4 has to go so it means the Pani will have to double up as a track and road bike. Any tips from those who have tracked their gratefully received. Such as fairings etc etc.
Or the painted Full Six carbon fairings currently in Moto Rapido's eBay shop. The paint job isn't quite perfect but for £599 it's a bargain. Andy
That was my first thought as at least they should fit!!! Anything else I need to know? For example can you unplug all the lights etc with no warning lights on the dash? Are there any subframes needed or can you reuse the standard? Cheers
Talking to @J0n3s today, it includes the ecu blanking plugs for when you unplug that stuff, and his new R ones also have the bolts. Worth asking your dealer
Mine doubles as a track bike. You will get a stop lamp warning on the dash when you unplug the rear lights. However there are 2 bullet connectors behind the right hand fairing next to the ECU, undo either and you wont get the warning. Other than that just track kit and thats it.. Or rather thats all I have. Only pisser is it seems to take a full day farting about refitting all the road kit. And dont get me started on refitting the mirrors Same bike different dress
I use the ducati fairings for this reason. £500 for the whole lot including mirror and electrical blanking parts so it's good value and just needs another 100-200 spent on getting them painted if you want it looking like normal. I did use them white for a while but they go a bit yellow in the sun. Aftermarket track fairings are quicker to remove on a trackbike but it takes ages to convert them back to a road bike.
Buy the ducati performance fairings and ask for a discount as well if you're buying it all together, as Royal says you should be able to get them for about £500. If you want them painted i would recommend Larry from Illusion Race Paint, did mine for around £600 which is considerably less than your Rage designs and companies similar to that and i found the quality of it pretty good as well as his attitude.
