So I've booked my first trackday of the year on my newly refurbished trackbike, going for my old stomping ground of cadwell Park 10th April,if anyone fancies it.here hoping for warm dry tarmac.
As we know Cadwell has its very micro climate,its a gamble whenever you book trackdays in the UK so far in advance, but it limits the disappointment of missing out!. The weather forecast isn't always the best barometer to know whether or not to book.
Done days there is April before, only once have I left early at 11 after losing feeling in my fingers from frost Had one day it was t-shirt weather in the afternoon and good grip (other than see below), and even one day was downpours all morning and about 8 of us out in any session on wets, then so many people went home they changed it to 2 groups/30min sessions in the afternoon Even if its warm and sunny in April hall bends and under the trees will always stay cold, so be careful through there! Not there till 26th myself this year, got a few snett's first to get used to the new track toy
Well the weather gods were truly shining on us. Cold start but by the 3rd session I was giving it full gusto. Great day out need to book another Donnington 2nd May has caught my eye..
