1200 Trackday On Mutley

  1. Just booked up with these for May;
    Motorcycle track training courses

    Last time I did a track day was around 12 years ago at Croft on an FZR600rr. Got my knee down on 2nd outing and thought 'feking great', tried for the next 3 laps on the same corner to be rewarded with a big slide and near highside....plus brown undies, but no joy with the slider!
    Be interesting to see how the Duke does and if I can repeat (kneedwon, not the brown underwear...), looking at various youtube clips I know its doable. This time the bike wont have Michelin Macadams fitted either, also know as the non-stick tyres of the era. Ah well, a bit knowledge..

  2. Multi doesnt like bodyweight changes, and while yes its possible you'll habe to make an effort to do it, it wont just happen. And if you dont normally gykd then be prepared to be disappointed

  3. Very wet Doni, PR4s, mate following me for first half of vid, and not far from kneedoen at times

  4. My technique sucks for kneedown tbh, managed footpegs on some bike and toesliders on multi..might be a tall order me thinks.

  5. Setting makes huge difference too, if like me you have skyhook

    Toes slidrs will get word out

  6. Basic bike but set up end November by Reactive suspension, who also fitted Andreani cartridge inserts to the front. Weather been shit since though and the ride back was on wet roads covered in mud and or salt. So not really tested yet.

  7. I had to jack my up onto enduro settngs andstill the pegs went down. There was another guy there on his in my group, exactly the same. Silverstone in the dry at the DUK day this year

    What track?

  8. Blyton Park. Not one I have heard of. The selling point for me is the 3 riders to 1 instructor. I only like riding quick with people I know and trust or when riding alone, something that isn't going to happen on a normal track day.

  9. A couple of years ago I brought my "Bone Stock" 2003 Multistrada to the Barber vintage festival in Alabama, here in the U.S. I raced it in the Formula 2 Twins class. At the end of the day I would ride the bike back to the Hotel. I didn't do to bad on the damn thing either. 11th out of 31 competitors.
