Trackdays on the Multi

  1. Hi

Just wondering if anyone has done any trackdays on the Multi and how it gets on. As the pegs touch down on the road does this cause any problems on the track, yes I know I can hang off more. I have a 2004 Zx10 sat in the garage and to be honest for the amount of time I have to use it its hard to justify keeping it.

  2. My local mechanics know a guy with one that does cadwell pretty regular, turns up, takes panniers off, and away he goes.

  3. Guy had one at Odiham Sunday and it was keeping and pullong in most of the superbikes on the straight in the inters group. From what I hear (different group) he was pegs down most corners.

  4. Multi is a great track bike. I've done cadwell and mallory on mine. Only thing to watch out for is your toes. have to keep them out of the way or you'll wear out your boots. You do need to hang off. Brakes are excellent and will out brake most bikes out there. Its great to show the sports bikes how it should be done. Give it a go you will love it..

  5. Did one at Cadwell last year. Had a fabulous day. It performs really well on a track or it would do in the right hands. As for scraping the peddles, that wouldn't do, I was cleaning my bike in between sessions!!!!!!

  6. Have had a look at a few clips and I must admit you can't beat going around the outside of a sports bike on an "Adventure bike". Will look at doing one of the Bike reclaim the track days to start with as hopefully the people there don't take it to seriously. Still pains me to sell the kwack though and I know I will regret it as soon as it goes. However needs must and the cash is needed elsewhere.

  7. Funny how the drive for an upright bike rider is to get around sports bikes lol I used to love doing on my ST2, bimmer GS and Numpty bit quickly realised me on a sports bike would always be faster than me on a upright bike.

    but awesome fun

  8. You could try the Bike day at Cadwell on 16 May. I'm booked on my Multi and I doubt if I'm the only one.

  9. No your not Pete. I am there on mine. Which I bought last year after talking to you at Rockingham! I took it to Folembray last year so this will be track day no 2 for the Multi. New Metz Z8's fitted for the occasion.

  10. Had a look at the dates last night, would love to do Cadwell as it used to be my local before moving South. Brands might be an option but to be honest it's not the most exciting place unless it's the full GP. Before you know it looking at the remaining dates the summers gone. My bike has the full Termi minus a baffle, I think it's lying on the verge somewhere, what are the noise limits as the Msv site isn't that clear.

  11. 105db and heavily enforced. You will not get out on circuit without a new baffle!

  12. Not sure on the Multi but my 848 with termis and no baffles was 105 on the nose every time.

  13. I think it's time to buy a new baffle anyway just to keep the neighbours onside.

  15. Llandow be a good first timer, fairly slow and short and not too busy

  16. Any other Multi's going to Oulton in July for the Reclaim the Track (Bike mag) track day? I'm going.
