Hi, I had a regulator/rectifier fail, and blew main fuse, now i get error code 8.0 i changed the race ecu back to standard and same error (also got lamda error as has akrapovic exhaust) put back to race ecu and still error 8.0 Do you have to run the bike on the road to "reset" the traction control ie let the ecu etc get some base settings to sort itself out or is there something else to check? any help greatly appreciated (ps it has a new rectifier now) Many thanks
Hi Rob I'm sure more people will chip in, the good news is that it's highly unlikely to be ECU as you know, since you swapped it and code remained, but all related sensors and connectors need checking and what's ringing a bell is rear DTC sensor failing or corresponding connector playing up being discussed several times over the years. I know it's strange that it might coincide with fuse/rectifier failing but needs ruling out (front sensor and connector possibly relevant too obviously).
