Hi guys! In the last week I've been getting o "Traction control off" notice on the LCD. I sometimes get that when i turn on the red switch and start the bike. It stays on even if i start moving. When i turn off and then turn on again, it disappears. Any thoughts on that? Cheers!
The TC starts as "off" if your battery is disconnected, for example if the battery runs out of charge or if its disconnected when you do some maintenance. However what you describe seems to be that it comes in and out without a battery disconnection which means its probably something else.
That's the message I was getting when the front ABS sensor was disconnecting but the ABS light was staying lit up too. http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f6/mts-1200-abs-problem-could-worth-checking-10189/
This is what i got after moving a few meters. -ABS indication in on. -Warning on the circular LCD. -DTC indication is off.(left side)
Same warnings that I got. The front ABS sensor is faulty or disconnected. If it was the rear sensor you'd loose the speedo reading too.
I would say something to do with front wheel sensor, reason being is, I lubed the chain last week, and had the bike on centre stand, with the engine idling in gear I noticed the DTC was saying off.
I would hesitate to do that satz. Lots of fingers mangled lubing the chain with the engine idling. fingers caught in running motorcycle chain OOPS PT1 Honda CB750 Gore Faces Of Death smashed & cut - YouTube Duke
Being slightly less diplomatic than Duke: No, no, no, no, no! Get yourself a bag to throw up in, make sure you're sitting down and look at the photos half way down this thread http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f17/ouch-looks-gore-warning-11714/ and never do that again.
The problem suddenly disappeared since Sunday. I just came back from the dealer and the diagnostic said that everything is ok. They said that it could be moisture from washing the bike and its gone now. Anyways lets hope that's that.
I wouldn't bank on that. Mine was intermittent to start with, gradually getting worse. The problem was a break in the loom as it got stretched at full lock when manoeuvering the bike around.
