Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Kgsdb, Oct 8, 2018.

  1. hi
I have just purchased a second motocycle which has a trans logic dash fitted its all wired to the bike but not set up
I have tried to down load the instructions from the trans logic site but I need the serial number which would have been on the box which I don't have
Model number of dash is TLS-MD3-12
If anyone has the same dash and serial number I could down load the instructions
The bike is a Yamaha 500yzr replica I also have a pikes peak multistrada so am a member of the site any help much appreciated
    Thanks dave

  7. I have the same dash installed on my 748S, so if you need any help just ask!

The biggest problem that I had was fitting the speed sensor too close and getting signal bounce, so it wasn't reading accurately. Once adjusted as per the instructions it was perfect.

  8. Hey antonye, can you help me with the dash?

I inadvertently reset the RPM readings while going through the setup process with a copy of some manual pages on my phone.

I'm racking my head trying to set up the RPM shiftlight indication point correctly. The menu that shows the RPM that double its actual value confuses me and I'm not sure what value I'm supposed to set it at to get the shiftlights to appear correctly at the end of each gear.

The odometer has reset and I don't know how to get it back, or manually adjust it to what it was. There's a special menu for it beyond the regular setup menu but the pages I have for the manual don't explain how to do it and I can't remember how I got into it. Also the fuel indicator has been replaced by a series of dashes and I can't seem to get it to display anymore.

I just took the bike to my local shop and they weren't able to help, but they did confirm the wiring and sensors are all fitted correctly. And just to reiterate, everything worked fine until I went into the setup trying to switch the backlight from red to blue. I was not aware that the RPM settings have to be redone each time so this is where my problems started. I also need to recalibrate the speedometer but that I can do as long as I can fix everything else.

If you can get back to me with some help, I would really appreciate it :)

  12. It came with the bike, but I wouldn't have bought it if I knew something like this would happen. First bike and rookie mistake.

If I bought a stock dash, I'd still have the problem of not having the correct odometer in case I sell the bike.

  13. It's a 2014 Ninja 300, bought it at about 24,000km summer 2019 and last I remember it was about 26,700km before I cocked it up. I remember the menu that did it, but I can't get into it to set a new reading. I think only Translogic techs can access that menu and I did it by complete fluke.
