Off to Portugal this month and have read my all singing and dancing free travel insurance I get with my current account and although it does cover motorcycles over 125cc you must be accident and conviction free, sadly I have a couple of points so bloody good job I checked. Anyway. Who has anybody used in the past. Had quotes at nearly cost of my bike insurance!!!!! Cheers.
I used Essential Travel when I went to France last year: You need to add grade 3 sport cover for a bike. Thankfully didn`t need to claim so can`t say what they are like to deal with. They were, however, the only ones out of three different travel insurance companies to reply to my email asking about cover. **They no longer cover bikes above 350cc.**
Well spotted Jase. I got the original link off the touring section on Ducatisti last year, I also emailed them to check I`d be covered on my bike and they said yes. I sent them an email this morning asking about the 350cc limit but no reply yet. I wonder if they might have been taken over by another firm that don`t want bigger bike business anymore? Glad you got cover sorted.
Worked in insurance in a former life and turned down many claims for exclusions in policies, I'm quite particular about reading stuff. Friend last year sadly came off and hasn't been back to work since And his free policy with bank didn't cover over 125cc. You have to be careful.
I got an email from them: Dear Customer Thank you for your e-mail I can confirm we are only able to cover up to 350cc on our policies unfortunately , this has changed since last year and we are unable to cover for any motorbikes over 350cc.
