I was looking for travel insurance that allows you to ride a decent sized bike and I discovered that the Post Office cover is acceptable for larger capacity bikes. Motorcycle Travel Insurance, Compare Motor Bike Travel Insurance
good tip one thing to check though is that if they (or your bike insurance) will pay to re-patrite your bike and kit if you get in an accident my firend foind out that even through he was covered for all sorts, recovering the bike back to the uk was not included
Looks OK but you only find out if you claim! Personally I insure the bikes through Carole Nash. Travel plus Breakdown plus uninsured loss is all covered with the premium and I have still found it quite competitive. I have called them for breakdown a couple of times (not Mutly) and they use the AA so pretty good. Might be worth a look if your policy is coming up for renewal soon.
I always take out a separate policy for motorcycle trips outside of the UK in addition to my 'regular' travel insurance. I use these guys ..... https://www.holidaysafe.co.uk/travel-insurance/motorcycle-travel-insurance.html Thankfully I've never had to use them in anger but it the cover looks OK. PP
Very reasonable cover costs as well Paul. I also have additional repatriation and breakdown cover for the bike, the quote I got for RAC cover is coming in at £35.78 for an RAC member for a week at the EMM. I might try Carole Nash when I renew my insurance and get their cover, at the moment I don't have this and my extended Ducati Warranty runs out in May. Anyone got any better suggestions?
Try the German company ADAC, they cover my collection of 2 cars and 2 bikes across the whole of Europe for €79 a year.
