Hi all, put a holding deposit down on a Tricolore earlier, looks & sounds like a genuine bike, 1 owner, Ducati dealer serviced, ASV leavers & an aftermarket screen, but I’m sure that can be sorted Anything else non stock ? Slim chance , but wondered if anyone on here knew the bike Viewing the bike on Friday morning.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/22515238...vshwqvmT02&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I have never seen a single sided swing arm bike use paddock stand bobbins. Okay, I guess they could double as crash bungs but sort of defeats the object. The cynic in me wonders how they would work with tyre warmers. Andy
I’m not sure what the initial market response was to the tricolore, a collector’s bike or just a tarty paint job at an inflated price. If a collector’s bike, 3300 miles in 10 years probably shouldn’t ring alarm bells but would I put crash bungs on a collector’s bike ? Check the MoT history on line to see when the miles were done and look at the manufacturing date code on the tyre. It’s not unheard of, for the original tyres to be removed from new and then refitted when the bike gets sold on. If it were me doing the 3000 miles, I’d be on a second set. The tyres fitted look scrubbed but with not many miles and could have been fitted to replace old age tyres. Andy
I'd guess just for crash protection or to save buying a SSSA stand. You'll get nowhere near 3k mls on track I think you should relax. Doesn't look like a track bike to me.
the rearsets are the DP items, and worth a few bob extra, high screen and full exhaust system by the looks of things( the rear heat shield is for the 70 mm manifolds i think) and some crash protection from R&G
The bobbins are just crash bungs. I have them on my 1299. Bit weird I know. But theyre just like that. Note the vert cyl cover has been removed. Hot knees.
Some peeps like it that way. Ive thermally treated the insides of mine. As part of a comprehensive treatment. My 1299 is pretty good for heat now.
Mate removed the vertical heat shield doo daa’s on his Tricolour too. Your gentleman’s marbles will cook in the summer
as above, can't see what's wrong with fitting axle bobbins apart from front right a bit weird.. not sure what's going on there, but even still, i doubt that it means that it's "been down the road" on that side.
The front right bobbin has broken off. Easy to do. Its not crash related. I have exact same on front too but mine isnt broken but i know how it can be.
Beautiful, just like mine, buy it….and boil your gonads! is the CF stock or aftermarket, I assumed the latter!
