Hi I tried the general tyre thread but it didn't have anything that answered my question. I currently have Phantoms on my SC which are good but will need changing in 3000 miles or so. So can anyone tell me what my options are please? A couple of years ago I spied a red SC with a tread pattern made of small square blocks - it looked very good but I have no idea of the make - can anyone enlighten me? Thanks
I haven't seen any Sport Classics with block section tread pattern tyres. My GT1000 had Michelin Pilot Classics on when I bought it. These tyres are no longer in production & I changed tyres when I switched to Marchesini 5-spoke wheels. Being able to run tubeless tyres with the Marchesini rims I moved to Dunlop Roadsmarts, and I have been delighted with them. Excellent grip on dry or wet roads & they have lasted very well. I'm just about to change tyres again and I'll be looking at options including the newer Roadsmart 2.
Thanks for that but in my memory they were in a small , regular pattern of 2cm squares..my memory may be playing tricks here though...
