Tyre or Wheel Valves straight required, not 90deg.

  1. As I'm sure many of you aready know the Ducati (and many other Italian bikes) have a 8.3mm opening in the wheel for the Tubeless valve. I require a straight valve to allow my tyre pressure sensors to fit with no chance of them hitting the calipers. At present I've seen people move the 90degree valve in-line with the wheel. My worry is if the valve moves with the extra weight of the TPS at speed it you could foul. The results would be bad.
Momentary lock up of the front wheel followed by instant 100% loss of air as the valve snaps off.

Any suggestions on a possible source?

  2. Wouldn't centrifugal force push them out towards the rims, keeping them in place ?

  3. well you have a choice.
You could turn the 90% valve stem so it is in line with the wheel rather than facing sideways.
Or you could buy a straight valve stem the same as used on the rear wheel.

They are easy to remove, and have an O ring that acts as the sealing medium.
You will need to remove the tyre to get at the nut on the inside, so either way requires the same effort.
I would suggest if the stem moves that it has not been tightened up enough.
