i'm running pr3's on mine, any reccomendations as to what pressure to run them at? she seems reluctant to turn in?
Its a different bike so will be different. Tyre profiles, geometry, previous owner messing with settings, suspension etc etc May be worth putting everything to standard, tyre pressures as per the Ducati book and start from there. From memory my ST2 was slow to turn, its a long heavy bike, so I jacked the rear a little and used very active steering input
F36 R39 .. raise the ride height and I found the front likes to be stiff if you brake hard. Slowing the rebound at the front also improved corners for me. I'm no track demon but the above was done for me by someone who is
Erm my bad.....just checked front pressure......20.5psi no feckin wonder it was slow to turn in! In my excitement to ride the thing I never checked the tyres, presumed as the lad I got it from was pedantic about everything else that they would be right, just goes to show you
if the tyre pressure was that low it either has not been checked for a very long time indeed or has a little puncture\airleak.best to check.
I find that 33F 36R works well for all eventualities but if the front drops at all, she feels horrible from cold. I have a set if Diablos on now, but RoadSmarts before that and Diablo Stradas before that. A
Pumped mine up yesterday, the rear was at 24psi........eek. Absolutely different and better ride today.
I'd imagine because it can get really cold over there that you would worry more about whether the tyre was getting up to temp properly, normally look for a 10% increase in front tyre pressure when hot(from cold)and 20% @ rear. It's averaging 25c here at the moment and i'm running 32 front and 36 rear on the gt1000.
