Tyre Valve

  1. My rear tyre deflated 2 or 3 times and i could not find any problem with the tyre. It pumps up ok and holds pressure but I can't trust it. I had an mot and asked the guy to have a look at the valve which i think he was just going to nip up with the tool. He couldn't do it because there were no flats on the valve. He has not come across this type before. I thought it would be easy to change like a car valve but I can't get to it!

Is this valve special to Ducati's?

  2. As far as I know, theyre all the same.

  3. The front is conventional. The rear doesn't have female thread to accept the threaded valve:Wideyed:

  4. take it to a tyre fitting shop and ask them to check valve and replace if faulty. It's all rocket science you know :)

  5. Valve is now fixed. The shrader valve tang was broken off! Maybe the valve was cross threaded when assembled but forced in with such force that it broke the tang. I am just glad to get another problem out of the way:).
