  2. Looks a sadly depleted field at this year's ugp, some prominent names missing.

Fingers crossed for a safe, trouble free week for all.

Think it'll be Harrison vs Hickman all week.... Cummins going well in practice though.

Weather looking very dodgy for Saturday over there.

  3. Anyone know if this will be shown on ITV4, BBC NI etc?

  4. Programmes are on the iplayer for anybody interested.

Saturday looks like it were a difficult day of delays and crap weather.

News I've read is that the weather forced an early end to the event.

  6. Im really questioning going to road races.

  7. I know what you're saying.

We've all seen it before but it's always a shock. I won't be stopping going but it does make me think.

The book "beautiful danger" sums it all up in the title.... Road racing is like nothing else, for fans and riders alike.... Very special but very savage at times.

  8. Iv just seen so much death and carnage in my life, much to much in fact. I wouldnt sponsor a rider , if he was injured or killed it would be on my conscience, however by paying £30 yesterday to watch the ulster i have sponsored all the riders......just saying.

  9. I think enough is enough. This latest one is one too far for me tbh. It happens at both ends of the grid: the real fast pros and the old hands who hack about at the back. And seems every race week has several lives lost. Hate myself for saying it.

  10. I had the Skerries etc recorded but deleted the lot without watching.

  11. Fabrice has succumbed to his injuries....rip mig.

  12. It's always sad news to lose a rider, it's been said before I know, if it was horses dying it would be banned, but the riders have the choice to ride or not.
But perhaps the bikes are now getting too powerful for some road circuits.
Maybe time to limit the capacity?.

  13. Imho I think it’s ridng style, rather than power. They ride like it’s short circuit: it’s not. I think Seeley started it tho, a few years back when he started vlockmpassing and leaving no room into rouandabouts and stone walls. I remember W Dunlop (GRHS) being ready to thump him live on TV

  14. I don't think cc has much to do with it, a standard 600 as we all know will do 150mph, a racer will race what ever he/she is on as fast as they can possibly go.
