Im weighing up pros and cons of various exhaust and looking at the official akrapovic. Does the up map which comes with the official Ducati exhausts change the fuelling etc or increase power or does it just remove any error codes? What sort of gain is expected with the up map? Is it a decent map or fairly generic? Cheers
Probably a little of all of the above. It will be a generic map, it will alter the fueling a little to their preferences and to try to eek out a little more power, and it will prevent the ECU generating the error codes.
I took mine for custom mapping at CJS in Bristol when I first fitted Termi end cans. The fuelling turned out to be all over the place using the up-map so definitely look to get it napped properly to see any real performance benefits whichever exhaust you go for. It'll be a very generic map - these engines are all very different from one another according to Chris at CJS - but will also turn off error codes which would otherwise appear when the flapper valve assembly is fully removed
