I'd like to cover up those horrible frame sides with some nice matte carbon fibre ones. 1) which are the best ones to get? 2) is it a p.i.a to take the fairing apart? Cheers
1. Don’t know. 2. It’s not the easiest to remove but not particularly difficult once you know how. Watch clips on YouTube.
IMHO Lieb Speed are by far and away the best fitting and best quality parts I've thus far come across. Started using their parts around seven years ago. I have spent inordinate sums of money over the years on CF from many manufacturers but always gravitate back towards those I know to be trusted. In order of preference.... (1) Lieb Speed (2) CDT Fullsix (3) Ilmberger At the end of the day you get what you pay for.
I’ve gone FullSix all over. Top notch, very pleased with quality and fit. Taking the fairing apart is a pita first time around but I could do it blind folded now.
I've just bought Lieb Speed ones. I'll tell you all about it once I've fitted them over Xmas. Had great experience with Illmberger fit and quality also...
Lieb Speed frame covers fitted last night. They're an excellent fit, and the matt carbon is an exact match for the Speciale carbon bits. Very pleased, and less expensive than the Illmberger ones....
Yeah, really straightforward. There are step-by-step instructions on the Lieb Speed site too. Very happy with them. Great quality. Flush fit in the places where you'd see if they were dodgy quality. I'll post some pics shortly...
