V4 V4 Dry Clutch Conversion

  1. Chaps, I'm looking at a doing the conversion on my 2022 model for the following main reasons

    1. No extra crap in the oil for perhaps lesser wear on the engine components
2.Slipper function on track, suffered a lot of wheel hop on the previous bike.
    3. a smidgeon of extra power and response
    4. Visual and aural aesthetics

    Now the negatives

    1. Cost vs benefit- waste of money better elsewhere or on trackdays?
    2. High ongoing maintenance- discs and baskets
    3. Less friendly for street

I am using the bike 80% road, the balance on track, am in the fast group and like to fang it often on the backroads. Tire life on the street is always sub 2k but I am not abusive on the clutch. What prompted this was a killer deal on an EVR kit, the STM was a choke point!

So what does the cognoscenti say?

  3. I do but the OP is in New Zealand. Not sure what level of import taxes and duty are charged there so may not be cost effective. Thank you for the bump though :upyeah: Andy

  4. Thanks our duties are 15% on top of everything, I saw your offering and its very nice indeed. A new EVR setup I can get for less than 3k landed vs about 5500 for the STM so thats the incentive.
