Can anyone help me out with how the headlights are supposed to be on the V4. They don’t seem right to me but when I had the bike in at Glasgow for a service they checked and said that that’s how they illuminate. with only the ignition on, both "slits" side lights are illuminated When the bikes started, there’s only one headlight illuminated And then with the full beam, both are on
That sounds about right. Day time running light should be switchable to low beam which is a single light and main beam is both lights. I think the Multistrada is the only modern Ducati to have both lights lit on low beam. Andy
I’m pretty sure both upper daylight running lights should be in regardless of which beams you have on
Thanks mate, I’ll give you a shout. Ducati checked against a new bike they had and they said it was supposed to be like that but I’ve seen pictures of bikes running and both side or running lights are on. Maybe there’s a setting I need to look at
I did have a dick about with the lights when I first got mine because I thought they looked super cool and remember thinking it was a shame they were getting dumped. But that lighting configuration on yours does look odd. And I don’t recall anything looking odd when I was playing about with them in the garage. The unit does look fekin expensive though So like I said, if you need a swap out, and they’re compatible, fill yer boots. I’ll be around Christmas Eve onwards
From your sequence of photographs, it looks like your DRL is set to auto. If the ambient light is low, the DRL is switched off and the low beam takes priority when the engine is running. In set up mode you can change from auto to manual so the low beam/ DRL swap over is controlled on the left hand switch gear. As my V4S is in the utility room, I can’t fire it up to check whether I have one or both lights on at low beam. Andy
Nice one mate, I’ll have a play around with it and see what I’ve done. Might be best to take it outside in the light as well
