Anyone have any gearing recommendations for uk circuits? And euro tracks! Running std gearing at the moment and certainly was shite for snett! Thanks Phil
Hi Andy Not shire but wrong! Back straight at snett As soon as I changed in to 6th I had to get on the brakes and as you know they make optimum power up to 16000 rpm so am thinking bigger rear sprocket but how much bigger???
The V4R has the same gearbox gearing as the V4/V4S, it’s only the front and rear sprockets that are different, 15/42 on the R and 16/41 on the V4/S. It has been asked several times on here, what reducing/increasing front/rear sprockets will do to the electronics and I can’t find a definitive answer. It could be the tyre calibration procedure will sort it out, I just don’t know. If you are saying you want to be in 6th earlier, dropping 1 on the front or going up 2 on the rear might solve your problem at the cost of overall top speed. I know the V4S will only pull the maximum revs in 6th, not sure if yours is the same. BSB is at Snetterton this weekend so you need to ask JB what he is running Andy
