V4 V4r Or V4 Speciale

  1. Ok do I order a R or buy a Speciale.. the bike will be for the track & running in will be an issue to consider, the look of the Speciale is fantastic & the worry is if I order the R without seeing it as not yet released is the bike going to be as good looking?

  2. Once you bung track fairings on you can very much change the look of the bike anyway to whatever you like

  3. Get the R and track fairings and you can paint it any colour you like.

  4. Why would you buy a Speciale ? The V4S has everything the Speciale has except the numbered top yoke, the full race exhaust and some Rizoma tat you can buy over the counter. Same engine, same electronics, same chassis. If you haven’t put a deposit down on the V4R, you can forget buying one from the first production run at book price. Deposits taken by UK dealers are already likely to exceed the UK allocation by multiples. Andy

  5. Wait and see the speciale was all sold prior to allocation, ive had various dealers calling offering a speciale and I believe it will be the same with the R

Forgot to to say new R1m for me.

  6. My Track Bike R1M GREAT Bike

  7. You ever seen a bad looking R?

    What he said!

The Speciale has nothing you can't get from the parts catalogue, albeit the numbered top yoke. The R will have an engine you can't just stick bits on a stocker to achieve

  8. How much is the V4R?

  9. Well it can't be more than £36,000 (40,000 euro) for WSBK Homologation rules.

But you can bet your ass after the £35k Speciale with '£3.5k optional wheels' that Ducati will sell you the R for £36k........ optional race kit/exhaust + £7k, optional Race wheels £3.5k, optional carbon pack £1.5k etc.

  10. Price capped by homologation regulations at 40,000€. So just over £36000 by today’s exchange rate. Andy

  11. Damn, second again ! Must learn to type faster. Andy

  12. Get someone like Motorapido to run it in on the dyno if needed

  13. Anything that does not require homologation, such as wheels, brakes and exhausts, is unlikely to be included in the V4R package. However you will get the titanium conrods and inlet valves and a red line at 16500 with commensurate power and torque delivery to keep you regular :upyeah: Andy

  14. Tough one. The Speciale looks so much better than the S, I know you can add the exhaust etc but it's still not the SP. I like having the the top yoke myself, can't wait to see the R's numbers.

  15. Using one finger? I use two, one on each hand.....

Panigale V4R engine £36k........ optional bike attachment?

WSBK will have to re-evaluate Ducati's rev limit as they are currently limited to 12,400 rpm for the twin. Who knows, but I'm excited to see it, especially in WSBK. I think Ducati have something special up their sleeve.

  16. The Aprillia, which I guess is the nearest equivalent, is rev limited to 14,700. Andy

  17. The V4S and equivalent will be a better road bike, which is why I've ordered an R. I want angry.

  18. Could be £28k with a Euro collapse

  19. Then that wouldn’t be the exchange rate on the day I posted would it ? Andy
