  1. Anyone store their bike/bikes in Vac bags, looking to stick my 996 in one as the garage can be slightly damp, any suggestions or shops/dealers :upyeah:

  2. The Henry ones are supposed to be good, but I struggled to get the bike in it!

  3. No but the wife puts our 'out of season duvets' in one, works a treat.

  4. got a dyson mate so Bag :upyeah:less

  5. Hi, yes use one on one of my "older" bikes ( lots of shiny chrome  ) it works a treat. Bit of a mare getting the bike in without poking the stand through the - thick - polythene, but once in and the air removed works a treat.

  6. When I say I don't use it...I mean for a bike. I like to keep it handy, 'cos you never know when you'll need to get rid of a body

  7. I wasn't even aware of how things had (possibly) moved on - . The sealed 'constant moving air' containers certainly work on cars when it comes to preventing condensation but initial outlay was always high particularly considering what you got for your money and the fairly short life of the plastic container. . They say re-useable but as long as they worked successfully through a winter i think most would be happy at that price. The simplicity of a visual inspection as to whether vacuum is preserved is a bonus. It would be good to determine the durability of above Vac-Bags ideally with some non-biased user feedback on these, as could be a real 'goer' afaic.

  8. Well, mine is in its fourth year of use and still in one piece:upyeah: When I bought it from a company that advertises in CMM it also came with a large bag of silica gel, which has always prevented any condensation inside the bag. I think it cost me £40.....worth every penny to me in my dampish garage.

  9. I will give Demons a ring tomorrow for a price, Chris you are correct about the car ones, they can also have an air circulation system, I have a van full of desiccant packs/silica granules so that's a bonus :upyeah:

  10. but which one are you describing here Jon and is it a car or motorcycle one?

  11. Sorry for not making it clear:rolleyes: It's a bike one. Have just checked in CMM and found that I bought it from Welcome to Vac Bags® - Vac Bag Products Ltd or phone 08443 303013. I am not in anyway connected to this company, I am only expressing my personal experience of using this product - which has been really good. Just make sure that you place the bike stand on a piece of wood inside the bag to prevent any mishaps.:upyeah:
