  1. has anybody on here had any experiance of these motorcycle vacume storage bags

    good idea bad whichever ...........:upyeah:

  2. Which ones are you looking at Carcoon ? Supposed to be brilliant .

  3. Used one years ago but not much good if you feel like digging the bike out a couple of times during winter. I would consider one again but for single use only as they can attract dust and grit through static once they have been used and then if you use it again it can feel a little abrasive. Carcoon are the dog's danglies.

  4. thinking of one maybe longterm to stop bike getting covered in dust muck damp etc while in shed among other projectslol
was thinking about paint work would plastic damage it vacumed tight against it ????
carcoon luvely but a tad pricey, no doubt worth it but looks like it takes up a bit of space ................

have used domestic cheap vacume bags ie for clothes blankets
but put things like bike tanks banks of carbs not bad lol

  5. I have my old 400/4 in one for its second winter. I think the bag cost me around £30-£40 2 summers ago - I put the 400/4 in the bag last winter and out it came in March as good as it went in. Its now back in it in an old leaky shed again this winter and i'd recommend them. As long as you are careful getting the bike onto the centre stand etc (probably not an issue on most Ducati's ;)) so you don't tear the bag, you'll be fine. It came with a small moisture meter so you can keep an eye on it if the bag wasn't sealed properly.... I bought a new silca gel pack for this winter (you could cook the old one for a few hours but couldn't be bothered with that for the sake of around £8 for a new one....

  6. spot on bud cheers for the info
