In the spirit of Valentines day being invented by Hallmark cards and being the least romantic day of the year (there's nothing less romantic than being told when you should be romantic, surely), I though I'd start a thread about how the 2 loves of your life clash. There must be more out there so pile in people!
We're long past that....been together for 25 years. I think the valentines present this year is taking the kids to McDonalds and then the lego movie....
living the dream! Mr. Sofa, that shows an astonishing lack of imagination. Why don't you do something extremely surprising like buying a huge bouquet and inviting her out? Women like surprises. If you never do anything for Valentine's (can't blame you) you could do a double bluff and suddenly do something! Ha!
We don't normally do anything but tonight we're going to see Mike and the Mechanics in Holmfirth, and tomorrow we're going for a "love brunch" at a local restaurant.
I told my wife i forgot, she doesn't know there is a large bouquet of flowers and a bottle of Champers being delivered to her this afternoon
My partner aint into it..... All she wants is a belt change every so often and a good thrashing regular with a clean massage every weekend. Im more than happy to accomodate
I just hope you don't clean the inside of the exhaust system with your 'pipe cleaner'. I saw that program about bloke who 'love' their cars *shudder*. Some things can't be unseen!
I only noticed this post now I done this: http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f18/what-you-palnned-valentines-19875/
Seriously. Its not something that we really go for (her birthday is 2 days after...) she always says "don't get me anything, its a waste of money"....we'd rather go out with the kids when we get the chance, I have full time job that requires loads of hours and shes the same... Saying that she's off tomorrow morning with her mum and auntie's to some health spa thing....leave me and the kids to.... A: watch films really loud in the cinema room with the kids and the speakers turned right up. B: Eat loads of junk food and sweets. C: Go out in to the garage to change the oil on the hyper without fear of retribution. D: Take them to Toys-r-us for presents as they all had sparkling school reports (my eldest even got a personal message from the headmistress. I swear I don't know what im doing right as my best school report ended in the words "could try harder" And at the end of it she'll come back chilled out...
If you want great food try Northall in Corinthia hotel. I work there but I can tell you much better then Dorchester. Need to test something in the Shard, is the restaurant open yet there?
yes, Aqua and was fair to middling at best. Your at the corinthia? That'll be my hangout for a year as soon as the refresh is done in the atrium, now the Lanes is having a refresh. If you do work there - send my regards to Neil (Millington) and assure him his old Garden room customers are eagerly awaiting seeing there new home.
We are getting ready to build the cigar lounge. Ordering all music equipment soon and work starts I think in next few weeks to slightly redesign it.
