  1. Yeap it's a tough sport. Very sad.

  4. It is in the public domain now, so I can now say it was Andy Lawson. He was the winner of the Junior MGP last year. Very sad but very brave of the family to ask for the event to continue. Andy was a very up and coming rider and would have gone on to do great things I am sure.

I raced Dundrod twice in the 90's on a Sidecar and it is a brilliant circuit but saidly there are not many places you can 'get off' and walk away from. That is what makes road racing exciting and wht people choose to do it.

    RIP Andy.

  8. It's heartbreaking, but this is real road racing and the danger that it brings. Each time a rider dies it is sad and for their families and those left behind an undoubtable tragedy but sincerely and respectfully let's hope that those that want to race the roads are permitted to do so for as long as there are enough riders to fill the grid, in Ireland, Europe, the IoM and even funny little old Scarborough.

The excitement and bravery found in real road racing is beyond compare, it's crazy and wonderful and scary and heartless.
