This guy has the luck of the gods, can't believe how calm he is, I'd have dragged everyone out of the car and beaten the crap out of them!!!!!!!!!
She was probably doing her make up or texting, she didnt have a hand free to indicate either. Feckin frightening and just goes to show how the standards have dropped in the past year or two.
looking at shadow the sun was behind them. something always to remember. although i don't think there was much you could do to avoid that.
Me neither but he should have known that was going to happen. But shit happens. However she's pretty much bang to rights and has two cameras as evidence against her.
As Bootsam says, he should have seen it coming. She's fully to blame without doubt but had he perhaps have anticipated her crossing he'd have slowed down sooner. Got to go now, have a fluorescent jacket to iron before I pop out with the IAM........
I was out on both days at the weekend, but the first day I felt very uncomfortable being out after 4:30pm when the Sun was so low. On the second day, I made sure I was back home before that time. Got to go now, have to add some more reflectors to my bike before I hand out some more RoSPA leaflets.
If the sun is behind you, always assume not only are they trying to kill you, but they cant see you either...
with the exhaust on that gixer should have heard it coming male passenger seemed more bothered about damage to car rather than checking if rider was allright mainly feel sorry for the young kid in the front seat must have shat herself
Hope he wasn't over speed limit Off to buy a helmet cam I was only thinking the other day if I put some of those flashing 'fuckin' bicycle lights on my bike how long it would be before I got pulled
Don't think the sun was an issue. If you look at the direction and length of the shadows it's off to the side and relatively high still (shadows diagonal across road and are quite short). Also you can clearly see all the way down the road when the rider involved stands up, and human eyes can cope with looking into the sun far better than cameras. It looks like a simple "couldn't be bothered to look" accident. Hopefully it wasn't too painful when the adrenaline wore off.
Its nothing to do with the sun. Its all to do with the decline in driving. She cannot say she did not look, she did not need to as he was clearly in her field of vision. It makes me angry as I see this shoddy selfish driving more and more. She is in charge of a lethal weapon, she needs to realise that and come out of her own safety bubble and realise she is not the only person that matters. Its a disgrace and should be a driving ban at the very least. Now, as far as I can tell, there is no indicator either. Why is this? Why have people suddenly decided they no longer need to indicate their intentions?
i am knowledgeable enough to say she didn't look. or dumb enough to jump in to a bottomless pit. do you cross the road when you cant see whats in front of you.
Her only concern seems to be for her child not for the bloke she nearly killed. But then she's probably quite frightened to be confronted by two large, helmet-wearing angry guys - seems reluctant to leave the safety of her car where she is in her own little world. A ban, hopefully, as she is extremely dangerous.
