I have to ask (in a non judgemental, nice and polite kinda way) do you ever use the search function?! LOL There are loads of recent threads on this, most seem to go Gopro, and some like me go ebay special thats already waterproof but tend to give good pic but terrible sound

If I were to buy again I would get the drift. The go pro, no matter how hard you try, looks very bulky.
I got a contour roam hd a year or so back, comes with various brackets you can clip it straight onto side of helmet, or handle bars etc. I use it everytime im out on the bike. Quality is really good and one of the reasons I picked it was that it is streamlined and less bulky / box looking than the go pro. Its waterproof too so you can use it in the bath/swimming pool if you want.
Contour 2+, got two & had two 1080p ones before them (still got them) & had two 720p ones from the 1st generation. As rabbitstew states they come with loads of helmet mounts & also a waterproof housing (although the roam is waterproof from memory). With my latest ones i can add an external microphone & the usual blue-tooth the video feed or start stop recording using my phone.
Agree the Contour roam is perfect for use on a motorbike or helmet but suffers terrible wind noise and if you check out the kb/s recording or something like that it's less than half of what the GoPro records at so frame by frame quality isn't in the same league as the GoPro, but then the GoPro is a PITA to mount anywhere other than ontop of your helmet and look silly. I've got both the contour roam 2 and now the gopro hero 4 silver and gopro wins hands down for quality but contour wins on 100% reliability, ease of use and practicality/discreet mounting options
I've had the HD drift ghost, which gave excellent results, until it developed a well know software fault and Drift refused to repair under warranty. Very pleased with my Drift HD Ghost... waterproof for normal conditions, even swimming, also had a waterproof housing I used when Scuba diving
I have the Garmin Virb Elite, waterproof, battery lasts a couple hrs and it can be run from power on the bike so no worries about batteries packing in, and the video you get can have a GPS trace and map info and other stuff added too.....
