So there you are in Sabadell, near Barcelona, Spain, and you decide to go out and for a late afternoon stroll around the town square with the rest of the folks. All of a sudden this guy in a top hat and tux comes out with a large bass violin and starts playing the final movement of Beethoven's 9th symphony. Well, that's kind of neat so you hang around to watch for a few minutes. A crowd begins to gather in curiosity, enjoying the guy play. What happens next is pretty remarkable. Could Beethoven have even dreamt of the joy his music would bring to people for so long? Som Sabadell flashmob - YouTube
Don't you just love the neighbours! And what would you find in our town square on a Sunday afternoon?

Not the first orchestral flash mob I've seen on You Tube. If you like the Sabadell one (which was to celebrate the Banco Sabadell's birthday) you might like these: Flashmob MCO - Mambo! - YouTube (Dutch railway station) 'Star Wars' Flash Mob: German Symphony Orchestra Surprises Crowd In Cologne With Iconic Song (VIDEO) (Cologne) Flash mob in the Copenhagen Metro. The EU purloining Ode to Joy for an EU anthem has really spoiled my enjoyment of it as a piece of music.
