Vintage Ducati restoration books, rare?

  1. I found two Ducati books in my loft at the weekend, thought I'd stick them on eBay and after Googling them was surprised to see that maybe they are pretty rare.

    First one:

Ducati Singles Restoration Guide Book - Mick Walker

    This one is £99 - £534 on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/185532119X/?tag=ducatiforum-21

    Second one:

Clymer Ducati 160-450cc Singles Through 1974 Service Repair Maintenance book

This one looks like its around £75 http://www.abebooks.co.uk/9780892870042/Ducati-160-450Cc-Singles-1974-0892870044/plp

Are these actually worth anything, and are they really that rare?

  2. I've seen the Mick walker one go for £120+ on ebay! rebuilding a '62 250 from a pile of junk at the mo, luckily my neighbour had one I could borrow for a week or two. Not that great a book for the money but it's been out of print for a while and people are willing to pay. I only paid about £10 for the clymer one though.
i once scored a similar book about triumph tiger cubs from e.bay, £8 delivered because it was wrongly listed, kept it a year, sold for £112, 2 weeks later it was back in print selling for £39 brand new + signed by the author!
