I ordered a 2013 Touring S at my local dealer 12th March. A March built bike but it was said that it would most likely appear before the end of March. A month and a bit later it is still a no-show. Anybody else waiting?
its probably broken down or having its recall items done  good luck with your new bike, hope the sun shines for ya
I ordered a 2013 S Touring in January and was given a May delivery. No specific date and as of today still no firm date so its starting to look suspiciously like further delays. The dealer can't seem to get any useful info out of Italy. Standard procedure for Ducati I believe!
Try another dealer? Some have stock I'm led to believe and others have placed orders. Get your name put on one!
I'm not personally, I just know others are from reading these forums, Ducati appear to be terrible at delivering new bikes on time, unless you get lucky!
When the 1098 was launched I ordered one and was told it would be two months delivery lead time. Six months later I was still waiting and they couldn't tell me when I would receive it. I cancelled and bought a GSXR1000 which I got in a week. And it was a fantastic bike too.
Don't foam guys. But here's my journey towards owning a new one. 9 Mar: Pillion a pal to dealer to pick up his bike from warrenty work. Test rode one for 5 min around compound due to poor weather. 13 Mar: Met up with dealer to trash out new bike/finances/accessories etc. Was told GT available immediately (parked in showroom). Red within week. Ordered red. 14 Mar: Insurance quote from Ducati Insurance 19 Mar: forwarded docs to dealer for registration 21 Mar: Picked bike up. 2nd April: All Ducati accessories; full termis, top box, low seat, keyless fuel cap, top box liner, handlebar bag all arrived. 6 April: Touratech engine protectors, front cylinder guard arrived. 11 Apr: Found time to do first service, fit all accessories. You need to ring around. AFAIK, the dealers now have a network where they can source bikes from each other. After the fiasco of the MTS 2010, I thought Ducati have solved the delivery problem. The Diavels had virtually no delay.
Was in Blade Group (Reading) yesterday picking up a key blank - 3 weeks after ordering - and they had a couple on the showroom floor ready to go.
Thanks for the offer and info, it arrived a few days ago. I was at the end of my patience though. The dealer found it most embarassing.
Decided to go ahead with the 2013 Multi S Tourer after a test ride in February and was told they had a red bike available- Delivered to me with a custom paint finish and Termi stubby end of the same month. Amazing bike.
I'm picking mine up on Tuesday. Can't wait to ride it. A two-hour demo run convinced me to sell my ST and break the bank. Unfortunately the ST sold more quickly than I expected so I will have been bikeless for nearly two weeks by the time I get my hands on it, which is making me even more eager and impatient. I will book it's first service before I ride away from the dealer. It's not going to take long to put 500 miles on it!
Well some fairly good news from my dealer today, bike is built and ready to ship, that is normally the 10 day notice.
