  1. Has anyone got a decent route to get from North to South Wales and visa versa? Have been onto the web and found recommended roads but there are a lot of alternatives ? Alternatively what are the best welsh roads?

  2. Pm Dave - he took a scenic route thru wales when he went on the Ducati Manchester trip last year :)

  3. Its pretty simple, just follow the spine.

  4. Yes the M5 and M6, they take you north to south or vise versa without touching Wales, oh the wonders of the motorway system........

  6. That's because there are alot of good roads...A49 is ok ....A483 better.;)

  7. 483 or 470 are easy to follow reasonable routes depending how far west you want to go. Takes all day mind..

I am planning doing North to South ending in Bristol at the Travellers Rest for the evening so a long day!

  9. I'm planning on doing a weekend to go and see some friends in Portsmouth at the back end of June. Hopefully the weather will be kind to me :)

  10. El T - pretty much what I am doing

Then on ferry to jersey on the Sunday from Weymouth
Back overnight ferry into Portsmouth 6-30am - going to visit HMS Victory
Back up to Cross Foxes at Dolgellan (sp?) staying over Friday night then home

First proper tour on any bike and first time will have ridden the ST3 any proper distance
