  1. Simple take it into ducati for a recall and they will find out for you on a road test !!! for a starter sprag clutch !!!!

  2. 167.53mph! I'd be taking it back, there's obviously something wrong with it. :worried: You should be expecting 180mph+ o_O

  7. Not sure what to say tbh dont want some poor sod to lose his job...the bike is capable off it (obviously!) and rather him find a fault on it at speed than me !
On the other hand only went in for sprag starter clutch and did that warrant a road test at nearly 170mph on a public highway !!!!

  8. Also how accurate is a tracker ! its a Autocom one !

  9. Also need to check if it switched back to kph after the battery was disconnected. ....o hope not because that reading in kph is great pub banter .....don't need to tell anyone I wasn't the rider lol

  12. your service with new tyres will be FOC next time you bring it in .......................

  13. Cool, I know thingy at Snells gives my 916 and my old 1198 a good spank when he tests them after a service and frankly Im happy he does. I'd sooner they find issues at speed before I do. :)

  14. Also, I'd love to know how fast my pani is. I bottled it at 183 on the clock.

  15. If youre happy with someone else doing that on your bike, then fine.I wouldnt be so pleased. If they had said beforehand ,perhaps, but to do that without any sayso I personally think is disrespectful,at the least.

  16. If you never have any intention of taking your bike up to 160mph then the garage has no right to do so on your behalf.

If you do that sort of speed yourself, it's not a bad idea to have your dealer do it after servicing, etc.

  17. I like to believe that his workshop manager doesn't know about it either, not only would the mechanic loose his licence, if caught, also he would discredit his employer to the max if something where to happen on this journey, can you imagine how this would play out in the media.....................

  19. And if he has been caught on a camera your going to have to prove it wasn't you.

  20. Not sure you have to 'prove' it wasn't you. I think they still have to prove it is you. If you lie and nominate someone else you get into big trouble. You can't just say "It wasn't me" but if you say it was at the bike shop then the fuzz would have to ask the bike shop. If they did not own up then they would be the liars and they would get into trouble. etc.etc. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. You show a great deal of humility Cormack in not wanting the guy (or girl) to lose their job and I kind of agree with you. Still a free service or something by way of compensation might be appropriate. It is quite a delicate issue really isn't it.
