1260 Warning Light

  1. I started my bike up today, first time in almost 6 months & I get a little yellow warning triangle in the top left corner of the screen

I personally think it it coolant related as it comes on once the temp reaches 103, in the hand book it says this:

Also the fan does not seem to be cutting in as it gets to 108 before I turn it off to stop it overheating

  2. Could also be a fuse, check those first. I once charged my phone from the bike, the dodgy charger popped the fuse and I got the same warning.

  3. But why would the warning only appear when the temp reaches 103 ??

  4. I don't know, just throwing ideas out. Personally, I'd just take it to Ducati and have them code read it rather than guess.

  5. The question is.......does the fan have a fuse, if so which is it

  6. I don't remember if I got that error or not, but my fan stopped running one time, and it turned out that the thermostat needed replaced. Warranty covered it.

  7. Looks like fuse 5 in the box A

  8. Check that the rear brake micro switch, located under the rear brake lever, isn't stuck, ie does the brake light work as it should when the lever is pressed, this has twice caused the same warning light to show on my bike, it also caused the cruise control to stop working. Although this wouldn't explain why the warning light only comes on at 103', may just be coincidental though , worth checking maybe.

  9. 6 months? I hope you have a good excuse? :) xx

  10. Someone died didn't they? I feel such a twat. That's the only excuse or 6months tho dude. X

  11. This happened to me on the forum Ardennes trip with the warning triangle showing. Easy fix; change fuse and make note to plug in accessories before turning on ignition in future. It hasn't happened again.

  12. Ha! Thought it was just me, but this was my outcome. It seems the surge from a charger plugging in after the fact can cause the fuse to blow.

I now carry a bunch of spare fuses under the seat as a result.
