  1. Evening

What are your thoughts on this design?
Thinking of machining this out of something exotic.

    Feedback appreciated.

  2. I like the idea, the standard one is a bit numb.

For me, it would be better if it was, size wise, somewhere in between the original and what you have produced.

  3. If you're going to go down that track, you have to make one for all of us! It's only fair!

  4. Which design do you prefer?

  5. Good work Jamie, however I think I prefer the look of the Rizoma one also tbh

  6. What about the design is more appealing.
    Market research ;)

  7. For me the Rizoma looks more solid - I would be worried that the current design with the "three holes / spaces" might not be up to the job. That may well be wrong in engineering terms but just an opinion.

  8. Looks a bit more purposeful/ functional, ie would offer better protection without looking to ugly if you get my drift ..?

  9. Looks like me and Veetwin are on a similar page ;)

  10. I’m thinking if making something like my design but out of a high grade stainless or even titanium. It would be more than strong enough but sometime if it looks weak it won’t sell.

  11. If it's Ti it will sell

  12. Titanium is a magic word

  13. Aye - and most people know it is structurally stiffer and stronger than alloy I hope :eyes: diffecult (read expensive) shape though in Ti:thinkingface:

  14. I just took it off, so now its the same as all previous models

  15. Whatever you build, my concern would be how strong the screws holding it in place are.
If the bike gets dropped its not much help if the strong guard survives but punches the mounting bolts out of the casing.

I had a ktm case protector once on an EXC200 that when the chain broke it cracked the crankcase around the mounting holes. Sure it stopped a fecking big hole, but still cost the same to repair.

Personally I don't care if its Ti or Anodised Ali, it just needs to do its job.

  16. I just fitted the Ducabike one which is similar to yours:

  17. I like yours, Jamie, I'd probably buy it. Especially if you did a set of engine protection in that style!

  18. Looks good Jamie, big fan of the products you design, I will need a protector for my bike once I get warranty work done on corrosion in that area.
