Wd40 V FS365 V ACF50 and the winner is...............................

  1. have a look at the link below, some good analysis on how good ACF50 really is especially if your steed is still in winter use, or even if your storing it in a shed/garage that's not 100% dry :upyeah::upyeah::upyeah::upyeah:

now where's my nearest ACF50 stockist

  2. Nod to Fig for posting yesterday when I was moaning about Shitoiler 365

  3. I pinched it off another forum, didn't see that this was discussed

  4. Explains why after one winter ride, and a few weeks in garage not touched (condensation ahoy) my engine bolts and banjo bolts are really furred. NEVER had issue with riding my old GS, lots of chromed bits and spoked wheels, right thru winter in all weathers and no washing for 9 or so rides and all the crud simply fell off leaving pristine underneath.

Lesson learned. ACF all the way

  5. I bought a gallon container of this stuff, used it on my escort rs,

but am I ok just spray the whole bike with it, engine. Shocks etc.

    regards bryan

  6. Just not brakes ;-)

  7. I covered my Panigale in ACF50 they day I took it home and regularly keep re applying after every wash down at this time of year

  8. Where do people get their ACF 50 from? I usually use FS 365 but think I may change!!

  9. I bought a tin at the Normous Newark Autojumble. Out of numerous stalls selling all sorts of aerosol products, I only found one that sold ACF 50 and that was £15. Don't know if I got a duff one, but it doesn't seem to spray out, more bubbles out.
    Anybody noticed the same?

  10. I sound thick lol

i can just spray it everywhere. Engine. Wiring. And it's ok to use the bike with the engine covered in it ?

  11. Warm the can up a bit first - stand it in some warm water or something like that. Will help the propellant to do it's job.

  12. Yes basically everywhere except brakes is fine.
A little horas a long way. Us a clean paint brush to speak it around.

  13. ACF50 gives great protection, watch out if you are using carbon covers. I had GB Racing engine covers fitted to a Street Triple, took them off when selling and ACF50 had went hard behind covers and lifted paint of engine.

  14. I had my Speed Triple treated a couple of weeks ago by All Year Biker. They take all the wax and grime off the bike by giving it a deep clean (basically taking it back to as it came out of the factory) then spray the ACF50 on with an atomising spray so it gets EVERYWHERE. They guy who did it was very thorough and the bike looks great. I'm sure it's going to do a good job of protecting the bike too.

He did mention that the cans of spray are best used for spraying on a cloth them wiping rather than spraying as you can't get a thin enough coat with a can..... But I guess he would say that

Here's the Facebook page of my local guy including a pic of the finished Speedy!

  16. That's brill. Cheers

  17. Can't remember the technical term but ACF50 will spread / creep at the molecular level to coat all that it possibly can, ie a little goes a very long way.
