  1. Anyone know when the likely date will be announced?

Its on my must-do list next year.

  2. If I am correct its not always every two years it can be three years apart. Not heard anything yet.

  11. I'd guess around 10 days for me, as I wouldn't feel happy using too much leave without the family. 3 days down, 3 days there, 3 days back and a buffer day just in case :upyeah: Not sure what I'd ride down on though, although I prefer to camp so probably the Elefant

  12. Ducati organise it around a race at Missano or Mugello. Go for 2 weeks to make the journey worthwhile and do a bit Italy in between. Pick a few nice stopovers enroute, we stopped at Dijon on the way and Augsburg and Luxemburg on way home. We booked cheapest 2star with parking in town centres from booking.com in advance but with smart phones it could be done on the go.

  13. You are Hannibal and I claim my Soapy Tenner

  14. Wife and myself fancy going to the next one ( or one after that). Bought a "race" motorhome with a garage big enough for a motorbike, so think We'd go in that, find a site locally and then ride in. Saves on tyres and potential shite weather on way down/back.

  15. Thats far too sensible.....got space for one more?

  16. It is a bit too sensible to be honest, almost embarrassed to own up to having it. It'll fit two motocross bikes, but only one road bike comfortably, sorry.

  17. Loads of camp sites within a few miles of Misano and plenty of accommodation, we stayed in a hotel in Rimini last year it is about 8 miles to the circuit, a bit closer is Riccione then the resort of Misano itself and Cattolica. Plenty going on in the resorts connected to WDW at nights also.

  18. Added bonus in that Ducati will have a Brit as a factory rider next year too.

  19. You won't get dates until next year once all the race calendars are sorted out, probably February assuming there is one next year.

Plenty of campsites nearby but as others have mentioned there's some cheap accommodation in Rimini, I've just booked mine for the Misano GP next month.

  20. Anyone thinking about going to the next WDW (whenever that is) do it!

And don't stick your bike in a van - you miss so much by not riding down. The journey really is as important as the destination - I had a blast.

Finally when I went in 2012 it was over 40 degrees C in the daytime and a good 20 something at night - bear that in mind if you're thinking of camping - I wouldn't want to try to sleep in a sweltering tent in that heat! It was grim enough when the aircon packed up in my hotel room.
