I'm gettin older and find some bikes quite heavy , so am investigating ways of reducing weight . My idea is simple. If I remove the round wheels and fit square ones , I could then remove the heavy centre stand and side stand which would also benefit when lumbering the chain , as the bike would stand up on its own . Is this a good idea ?
Maybe you could get a Bangladeshi to ride it for you. That would be a simple way of reducing weight. Look around and I bet you could find one quite easily.
If you removed the engine and electrics, not only would it save weight but it would remove any potential reliability issues!
