For the second time in 52,000 miles, the double race, ball bearing in the rear eccentric hub of my 1200 Multistrada, has failed. The last time it happened, I had difficulty sourcing a replacement bearing because SKF has designated it a “special automotive bearing”. This time I took a punt on Simply Bearings and am happy to report, their service has been exemplary. I ordered two but they only had one in stock, having added an anticipated delivery to their stock listing. I was notified and apologised to, sent the one they had and assured the second bearing would be sent immediately the stock came in. The second bearing has just arrived by a same day courier at no extra cost to me. Wasn’t expecting it until some time next week. They didn’t stock the needle roller bearing but that is available at my local Rubix (aka Brammer). Andy
