After agreeing a deal on the very blingy 08 white 848 over the weekend, I couldnt get hold of the dealer on Monday I sold my gixxer yesterday and tried to contact the dealer again...nothing.. A tad pissed off I started browsing again last night and saw a 10 plate in red, untouched and 636 yes 636 miles on her! I emailed the dealer and we spoke first thing today. Turns out the bike has been a rich boys toy in London and not turned much of a wheel since new, kept tucked away as new. I was concerned about servicing and we agreed a full belt service in the deal and its mine!! It has no bling atall, totally standard, which I kind of respect and dont want to pimp it up too much...yet. First question do I need Termis? Do they make a big difference to the riding experience. I do like loud especially on a Ducati but I paid a bit more than expected and dont have a spare grand this week to run out and get some... Should be with me Mon/Tue:Woot:
That bike was a bargain assuming it's the one at £6.5k on eBay. I sold my 2010 with 7k miles to a dealer for £6200 last year. Yes it needs termi. There's a set for sale on Ducati up north.

No not an evo but it was a bargain I swooped without a viewing as I knew it would be gone today. I will sneak termis past her very soon then.....
Congrats on the bike. As said above, Defo needs something there. But don't just think about termis... The akras IMO look better and many say they are better quality. Those zard cans look well too. A superpole seat also helps loads, maybe more useful than the cans... Ian
I have arrows on my SF848, mate had termi's not any real difference between the two as they both sound nice. Only noticeable difference is that the arrows do have a better look they are finished nicer than Termis and the same can be said for most of the other cans. For what you pay there are far better finished cans than termi's out there.
Definitely need to change the original cans, but for a price comparison my money went on a race baffle kit cost me US$130 and sounds perfect. There is a bit of copping involved but if you own an angle grinder and a pop rivet gun you're sorted. The only down side is there are no baffles for noise if you plan to do track days. I live 30mins from the Nurburgring and go to the GP track twice a week in summer with no problems, I know the UK tracks are a lot stricture.

Not really. It's a little harder than the OEM but these stop you sliding about all over the place. They make the seat height about 1" taller but it still is one of the best mods you can do to the bike. Have a look through the forum, loads of info on them. FYI they are about £160 from the dealers.
I may need that inch at 5ft 6! But I sat on a street fighter today and that was fine. I believe they're taller? The seat was quite uncomfy but then I wasn't riding it...
