Well that's the winter snowboarding trip sorted!

  1. Finally got the snowboarding trip sorted for January 2014. :upyeah:

    Eight of us heading to Morzine to stay with Treeline Chalets (Treeline Chalets | Luxury catered and self catered ski and snowboard chalet holidays in Morzine). Treeline are fantastic. 5* accomodation and 5* food, drink and overall service. And all at a reasonable price. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

    Four of us are going from the north and four from the south. Good mix of characters too so it should be a laugh. Though there will be an expensive bar bill.

    Last time just the lads went we spent on average 120 Euros each a night just on booze. And for every drink we bought we must have had a free shot too. :eek:

    However that was a stag do, so I'm hoping this time it will be a tad quieter.

    That said I can't wait. :upyeah:

  4. you lucky B. went to morzine fue years back superb avoriaz just 2 mins away had better snow, great night life in morzine. mmm dirty

  5. We've been to Morzine/Avoriaz four times now in the past 8 years. Love the area.

    And having discovered Treeline Chalets a few years ago (friends of a friend) they make us want to return there every year as the food and accomodation is fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. They also arrange our airport transfers and lift passses so we hit the slopes first thing when we arrive.

    Three years ago there was bugger all snow around for weeks (18-20C in the town of Morzine during the day in February!) the Treeline team would shuttle bus around to where the best snow was every day, FOC. Fantastic service!

  6. the girl friend broke her arm first day first run when we went which left her at the chalet for rest of week maybe not a bad thing as she was just learning and slowing us down :wink: (now my wife) ice at morzine so headed up to avoriaz powder magic.

  7. Had my first snowboarding trip earlier in the year. Let just say I wont be rushing back to the slopes! Although the social side was brilliant and I proved to myself I can still make some strange shapes on the dance floor (The Girls love it)

  8. I don't see the thrill of putting yourself in danger by hurtling down a hill at high speed... You may as well take up other dangerous hobbies like motorsports... Oh!... Hang on!... :upyeah::upyeah:

  9. I've stayed at the Viking hotel on top of the Pleney lift a couple of times. Perfect for small children.
