  1. Don't know if this thread will fly, but thought we could have similar to "What are you Watching?" for books?

Partly stimulated by the book I'm currently reading "We are Bellingcat" by Eliot Higgins where he recounts the growth of the idea of Open Source Investigations using freely available online media. Really quite fascinating how the "birth" of this new form of journalism has arisen, and also how it is in some ways now essential in the new media landscape of fake news and propaganda.

I guess we could add both Fiction and Non-fiction with a summary/feedback? - maybe only real paper books? (and I also thought non-motorcycles??!)

This is a tad more real, but very compelling

This might have been a good light-hearted one had I not read his autobiographical scribblings beforehand
There’s simply too many exact references made which confuses the plot.

  10. I’ve read the Hobbit so many times and I love the story thanks.

  11. Tolkien lived nearish to me whilst writing LtoR, think of his books when my lad and I are cycling through the old Oak trees still standing. An old cycling buddy was taught English by Tolkiens Son he claimed.

  12. I love this series of books, very funny Irish humour and well written, he started with the Dublin Trilogy but then wrote prequel books so you can choose if you read them in release order or chronological order (highly recommended)
