My new to me 400SS doesn't have any service history, although the dealer claims it was regularly maintained.. Anyway, I'd like to start my own log book as I'm going to start things off by giving it a major service. I imagine an ordinary school type exercise book would be sufficient, but I'm curious if there's anything more useful or perhaps even Ducati specific available.
By log book do you mean a service record? Wouldn't a ring binder and some clear sleeves suffice to be able to add receipts in showing parts bought/services done? At least it's good evidence of what has been done to it. If I was looking at buying a bike, a folder full of receipts would be far more comforting than a hand-written exercise book, if that's what you meant?! Also, I'm not sure if they're available, but I guess you could also buy a blank Ducati service book so you can add service stamps in too?
I use this (Home - My Garage Manager ) it keeps a full record of servicing and fuel purchaces, it takes a bit of time to find your way around , I have been useing it for five years and when the time comes to sell one of the bikes I can just print a copy for the new owner, any receipts are kept in a folder also.
