I've seen them, price is good. I like the look of rizoma's spy r mirror but that's over £100 pounds each!!
Rizoma are definitely very nice; I think you also need an adapter too about £10 I think. My worry is not just the initial expense, it's also the potential repeat replacement cost given their vulnerable position.
I've seen some nice Triumph branded ones. Better than round ones. Maybe the Triumph logo can be wiped off. What's the plan wth indicators?
The indicators are separate to the mirrors on the monster unlike the superbikes, so no need to change them
Oh no I'm starting to convince myself that Rizoma is the way to go... they are just so beautifully made. I'm getting a new M796 delivered next week (hopefully) which already has Carbon Termi's so my logic is I can/should spend more on mirrors... now I can't decide which Rizoma. Spy R maybe (80 or 95mm) or Retro Reverse (look great, not convex I think though). Too many choices! Lewygoosy - did you make a decision yet?
I have an Oberon Streetfighter on my 999, the smaller of the two sizes. I only have one on the right, where it sits over my hand and doesn't spoil the lines of the bike or add anything significant to the width. Its beautifully made and fills in the blind spot directly behind, that the oem mirrors leave, perfectly. Highly recommended.
I've got the CRG Hindsight mirrors and they are by far the best mirrors I've ever used on a bike - great rear vision from such a small mirror, no vibration and they hinge inwards but then drop back into the same position when you push them out so you can fold them easily when parking or squeezing through tight gaps. Southpaw, I have not made a decision yet. I like rizoma's spy R but do think they are a little over priced! Plus you need a spacer in each handle as well I think. But they are nice.
Memory's faded as it was a while back but I think I got them on Amazon, IIRC CRG have a UK Amazon shop.
Didn't think of Amazon. Ha - these are not at all copies of Rizoma Retro Reverse:wink: PAIR Of High Quality CNC Machined Aluminium Bar End Mirrors - Fits 99% Of Motorbikes: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike Loads of choice on there though - assume quality will be variable.
Now this is cheeky - even using an original Rizoma image to advertise. RYDE BLACK MOTORBIKE BAR END REARVIEW MIRRORS 7/8" PAIR MOTORCYCLE/BIKE/SCOOTER UNIVERSAL: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike
The £40 pair get great reviews so they're my front runners at the moment if I choose this style, in fact the same manufacturer seem to do folding CRG-style Pair of Fold In / Fold Up Matte Black 7/8" 22mm Motorcycle Motorbike Bar End Mirrors: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike and Oberon-style PAIR Of High Quality Black CNC Machined Aluminium Round Bar End Mirrors for Motorbike Motorcycle 22mm 7/8" Handlebars and Renthal: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike too. So comparatively cheap it might worth trying a set of each...
I've bought a few pairs of mirrors from these guys, always been pleased with the quality, not bought these particular ones. Feel Foldable Bar End Mirrors Universal For DUCATI MONSTER 696 796 1100 1200 | eBay
What's everyone's thoughts on this set on eBay? CNC Black Alloy Bar End Mount Rear View Mirrors Set 7/8 Billet Trick Universal | eBay Appear to be a cheap alternative to some CRG arrows from America. Thinking might be worth a punt
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Must admit, they wouldn't be my choice. (but, as my Mrs always says, what do I know??)
