Hi Guys. As I mentioned in the new members area. I have just bought my first Ducati which is a 2012 Gen1 Diavel. The bike is in fantastic condition and has obviously been cherished by someone and has only done 2800 miles (not sure if thats a good or bad sign BTH) What I don't know is what has been done to it before it arrived on my doorstep. It has a Remus end can but what else has it had? Is there any way I can work out if it has had a remap / o2 eliminator etc. TBH I wouldn't even know if it has a full exhaust system as I know nothing about these bikes. Basically saw it, liked it, bought it. Any tell tale signs on the dash etc? I did try to stalk the previous owner on social media just to ask these questions but can't find him (maybe a member on here). Alternatively I will get it in to a Ducati dealer and get them to give it the once over.

What does it say when you turn the dash on? I'm not familiar with the Diavel but other models in the range tell you the map on them by a code that scrolls once you turn the ignition.
Hi Pavey. TBH I didn't;t notice anything other than the drawing of the bike on the screen. I will have a good look when I get home and see if it tells me anything else
I might be leading you up the garden path, but it may give a clue. Edit: It doesn't, according to this vid: Does it pop and fart at all on the over run?
I will check it out. I want to do a few things to it ie tuneboy with QS and possibly 14t conversation so knowing what I have before diving in will just save me a bit of time and maybe some money
I did notice it a bit but Iv'e only had it a few weeks and the only time I got to have a short run was with sh1t roads and salt everywhere so didn't get too aggressive with a bike I don't know and a brand new front tyre.
I can't help you with your question/s as mine is a later model...but congratulations on the Diavel. (p.s. I don't think there is any reference to the mapping on the dash - it might need connecting to a diagnostic tool to check)
Thanks for the input mate. I think I will just bob it down to my local Ducati dealer and see if they can give me an idea. If not I will just start the mods I want to do and see what I come across

A give away for any reflashing is the exhaust valve should be disabled. When you key on, can you hear the servo motor cycle? I'm just up the road in Sutton is you want it checking out. If it's a local bike, it may even be one I know or have flashed in the past????
Thanks for that info Nelly. I will check it out over the weekend. The bike isn't a local bike as the previous owner was Norfolk based. I take it your a flasher then. If so I may need your help shortly
Yep....Guess I am No problem. If you need anything, help wise, give us a shout or run over. Look after quite a few Diavel in various states of mods.
