What does your dealer know about you..?

  1. Popped into the local Guzzi dealers to have a laugh at servicing prices (he didn't disappoint:mad:) and he asked me the reg of my bike. "I recognise that reg", he said, and started tapping into his computer. Turns out he sold the bike new to a guy who lives in the next road to me, who sold it to a guy in the next village. I bought it from a dude in Cornwall and now it's back where it started. Small world.

But what's more worrying is when he typed my name into his ancient computer - My old Guzzi V50 was there, along with my name, old address and telephone number, the bike's service history, etc.

But I bought that bike privately in 1988 and it never went near a Guzzi dealers. He even knew how it died (it drowned when my garage flooded). Who the fuck is giving them all this information?::eek:
