What Exhaust Would You Buy Or Not Buy.

  1. Just wondering as the title says, what exhaust would you buy for your 848 ?

Termis are nice but expensive , same with akras just wondering what other options there are and what you would choose an why

    Thanks

  2. What's wrong with the standard ones?

  3. I would not buy those dodgy termis off of ebay that are intended for non-ducatis. I'm certain most of them are fake.

  4. got a full termi system on the 848... love it...
Got Leo-Vici end cans for 748, wish i got full system for that, more expensive to upgrade now... so won't bother...

  5. i have terms on my 996 but sc project on my hyper sp....wanted to try something different from the usual crowd and I have to say I am impressed...looks great and sounds great
i am in the market for another bike and that will likely be given sc project cans

  6. So I'm thinking of getting Leo's they are £650 for full titanium slip on and I've had them before and there build quality is better than termig and not a mile off of akrapovic, what do u think? Accompanied with a remap from
Cjs and I think the bike would be awesome. [IMG]

  7. Agreed. The termi on my hyper is OK, a bit cheap....rivets are rusting a little, end caps are slightly loose, behind where you can't see the bare pipes are quite tarnished. Put it this way if I'd paid a grand for them I'd be pissed right off.....

  8. Sil moto are a very good alternative. Very well made and look good. I had them before I got the full termi system.

Think @Spareparts had a set for sale.

  9. Nope, not me!

  10. Oops sorry, it's @SP4S

  11. The SC project ones look good what do you think

  12. They look really smart, would like to see them in full carbon, the shot seems to show black allow can with carbon cap. Because of how much crud gets chucked at the bottom of them I wouldn't want black matt alloy.

  13. Just been to the web site, they do full carbon with carbon caps, Matt black with carbon caps, and titanium with carbon caps €720

  14. But do u have to order direct from them then? They do look really good, would love someone to tell me if a remap is mandatory? Having seen the video on you tube of the 848 spitting flames with Termigs I assume so!

  15. Can't find anywhere else that sells them

  16. Remap gives the best results.

    Or I have a DP slip-on ecu available for a pre-Evo 848 if that's what you have?

  17. I had a full Termi system on my 848Evo and it sounded great. But...........

I've got a full Akra system on my 1098R and that sounds even better!

Differences are a much higher quality product with the Akra system generally, plus it fitted together a lot easier and is full titanium, it blues up nicely. Less swearing and cut knuckles with the Akra system too, although that may be down to me knowing what i was doing by then :)

As ever, you pays your money etc.

  18. you need to purchase from their website direct, I did and they were great to deal with, no drama at all, their website usually tells you what you require when adding the cans
for me they recommended the SC project AFM (fuel modifier and SC project Air Filter) but they did not insist it was 100% necessary which I thought was good...not pushing their product for the mere sake of...and to top it they are italian made so keeps in theme with the bike lol

so far I am really impressed with them having done nearly 3000 miles since fitting plus i like the fact there are not many bikes running around with them at the minute

  19. Termis are the popular choice, but Ive been pining for a set of Akras for my 1098s

  20. Thanks for that, really useful. My bike is on PCP so currently I'm thinking I need to just go with Termigs due to simplicity of just swapping the ECU etc if I trade the bike or needed to sell it. Once I have sold my other bike I'll know what money I have kicking around though.
