  1. Took the side panels off my bike today and when I took the RHS off I found this hanging down.

It seemed pretty obvious where it had come from there looked like 2 bolt holes that lined up as shown in the pic below.

So would be good to understand exactly what it is ! Why it's fallen off and is there any specific way to re fix or just bolt it back on. Any specific bolts to use ?

    Thanks

  2. Is that the old servo for the flapper valve on the exhaust?

  3. Yup - EXBV motor

  4. Yes. Its the motor for the dxv valve. Just bolt it back on. odd that it rattled off but Ive lost count of the fairing screws I've replaced.

  5. Bolt x 2 - 77950111B
    Washer x 2 - 85250091A

  6. is it the launcher for the parachute brake?

  7. Andy all it does is close the flapper at low revs on the exhaust to get around noise regs, the cables go the flapper at the big heat shield. You can either bolt it back on and use it, buy an aftermarket box of electronics to replace it or get the ECU reflashed to take it out the ECU program.

If you try to run without it and don't modify you get an EOBD light, as I recall.

  8. Add a bit of decent thread lock too. Should stop it happening again. Get the right torque setting too, especially as its going back straight onto the frame

  9. ok thanks everyone, it seems a very common thread size so have bolted it up with a bit of blue thread lock. Not sure on the torque settings so just did it up not too tight.
